This is in reference to a comment I made in a picture caption of the 482 at the Silverton depot--the current "2" in use on the D&S is shall we say "challenged" in its proportions. Even more of a problem typographically is the 42 on the engine 42 on display in the roundhouse museum and that 2 is all scrunched up against the 4. I'd post a picture of the 42 I took back in 1957 at the Alamosa roundhouse that shows the RGS version as it was, but I'm catching train 6 on Amtrak in Grand Junction in a few hours for a short trip back to Ohio and I'm out of time.
