Rickershauser article

Folks,
I just re-read an article in the August 1983 TRAINS called, "An appointment with NO. 6" by Peter J. Rickershauser.
He tells the history and current status of Portland engine now known as the WW&F #9.
I am surprised that a person who was working for the New Jersey Central Railroad and was willing to drive from New Jersey all the way across
Connecticut (more than once) to see and photograph the engine would loose interest in the Maine Narrow Gauge lines. The name is fairly unusual; but I have never seen it on doaner or membership lists.
It would be fun to hear what he thinks of the current efforts to preserve the memory of the Maine narrow gauge lines. Anyone ever hear of him?
