The #461 was enroute to Alamosa on the RGS when the RGS purchased her and took her out of the train and stored her in the engine house at Rico during the winter of 1950/51. Early in 1951, she was moved back to the shops at Ridgeway for an overhaul and paint where the RGS herald was applied.
In other words, she was first transported to Ridgeway by the D&RGW to be shipped to Alamosa over the RGS, purchased by the RGS while enroute, stored at Rico over the winter and ultimately returned to Ridgeway for overhaul and eventual service on the RGS.
