It seems it has been about 13 years since a thread has been discussed, in depth, about the possibilities of covered storage for the restored equipment at the C&TS. Over the years, I think some equipment that has been restored, is ready to be restored again. Will a structure to slow the decaying forces of wind and sun and rain and snow of the restored fleet be ever implemented?
While this question is directed at the future of the C&TS, the same problem applies to the Colorado Railroad museum and perhaps most other narrow gauge railroad preservation sites in the west.
I hope some good and practical solutions can be found!
