I drove through Ouray over Memorial Day Weekend and stayed at the Beaumont Hotel. I read a few books about Ouray in the Buckskin Book Trader on the main floor of the hotel. The depot burned down in 1948 IIRC. These books also stated that the Ouray branch was intact and in use until 1953. This doesn't sound correct to me. I thought that the Ouray branch was long gone by around 1951 or so. Can someone give more details please?
