I wanted to give a brief update here, as I know there are many on this forum that do not use the Book of the Face.
On Sunday June 28th, the body of C&S Caboose #1006 was lowered onto it's new frame in Silver Plume. It now looks like a car again!

Now that the body is sitting on a square frame (the original was no longer square in multiple directions), we can begin the reassembly process.
There is still plenty of work remaining, including restoration of the cupola, replacement of some sections of the body wall framing, installation of the car's floor, interior reassembly, roof, siding, etc.
This was a huge milestone for this project, and for our group of dedicated volunteers.
We are still in need of donations to finish the restoration of this historic car. We are a registered 501(c)(3) with the State of Colorado.
