Had the urge to do a then and now myself earlier this month when I was scanning a bunch of stuff. One of the things in the pile was a medium format color slide. It was taken in 1954 looking west from Salida at 7th Street. The next day was nice enough to break out one the of convertibles (very sick of winter by that point), so I figured I'd just go do it.
Interesting, when compared with John's, how much this scene has changed. Chama truly is a treasure - largely unchanging over five decades.
