Yeah it was a really fun trip and she thanked me alot for inviting her to come along said she really needed a vacation and had no idea how beautiful southern Colorado was
We didnt manage to do the full circle trip, ended up spending an extra night in Antonito because we were pooped after the trip which I didnt mind got to see the train leave the next morning and catch the Chama train at Cumbres on our way to Chama, had lunch there and walked around the yard for a while before we headed to Durango driving thru the reservations following the old route. Shortly before we made it into Durango my mom got a call from my brothers saying they wanted to spend some time with me before I went home
So I changed the plans taking out teh RGS bit and cutting / shortening stops. We spent the night in Durango at the Strater and the next day drove to Fairplay making short stops in Silverton, Ridgway, Cimarron, Gunnison, Salida, Sargent and finally Como.
Friday we visited the South Park City museum in Fairplay, Alma, Breckenridge, Silverplume, georgetown and Idaho Springs where we met my brothers and stayed the night, Also finally managed to find the Idaho Springs depot while we waited on my brothers we have driven around town looking for it in the past just walked into City Hall and asked were it was located this time
