Takes one to know one... there's a reason they kept sending Sandy to Mule Days! You can't place all the blame on her alone, though.
How to Insult, Abuse and Insinuate in Classical Latin was great, but it only took me so far. I didn't get a full education in ill-tempered Latin until UCD hired a freshly-minted (and slightly subversive) new professor my senior year. Let's put it this way - he started a Classics film club with such gems as Clash of the Titans, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and HBO's Rome series.
As I recall there was also an infamous Orange Book of naughty Latin, hotly sought after by my classmates on eBay, listed on the "optional supplemental texts" for our Silver Age Poetry section. I'll see if I can track it down.
