Regarding the SV, I'll point out that there's an excellent article covering its operations in the brand new Kalmbach publication, "Historic Trains Today." The magazine-format issue also highlights the C&TS engineer training program and Germany's Hartz Narrow Gauge, along with articles on several standard gauge museum and preservation operations. It is well worth the $8.95 cover price.
