The first scheduled trains arrived in Silverton today with a few problems. The first section was delayed on the way up with an open car that developed mechanical problems and the car was set out at Rockwood, thus allowing the second section to pass it. Both trains were a little late in arriving in Silverton. A cloudy, chilly, windy day greeted the trains, but the Silverton Brass Band there to greet both trains at 12th and Blair, and the D&S hosted an open house at the depot. It was great seeing trains, hearing whistles, and seeing all the red varnish that was bringing up the rears of both trains. Several pictures are at:
