I've been trying to find out what Rio Grande D-25 is for quite some time.

I know it is an "American" crawler. It could be a model 195. Take a look at this link and compare it to the Rio Grande D-25:

I've found a few photos over the years of this crawler. It seems to appear mostly in the 1960s.

Some nice color photos can be found on John West's web site. Here are links to two of his photos showing D-25 (as a drag line):

Another really good source for photos of D-25 can be found in the paper back book, Narrow Gauge...then and now, by Tom Gildersleeve and Nils Huxtable. D-25 shows up in five color photos in this book.

I have a 1:25 model of a Bantam crawler that I'm planning to paint and letter as D-25. Not the correct model, but close enough for me.
