Yes as I stated here or elsewhere Ernie finally cleared this confusion up for me. He shot movies of the Cumbres Turn(about 2-3 locations), then B&W stills of the second run, then shot one movie location at Cascade Creek Trestle with the helper and later part of the train. When he wasn't shooting movies he shot stills as you stated. I have the Robart-Hereford book but have not located it.
Two dates we have no coverage of at all are
June 3rd Alamosa-Chama
June 13th Alamosa-Chama or 498 Durango-Chama
There are a few other holes that maybe Ernie doesn't have, but he is supposed to send me a couple of B&W pics of the days he did not shoot movies, but as of this time we only have the movies and the slides from John West and Russ sperry. All this may not even fit on a dvd so we shall see when we get that far along. I sent the first draft of the script to Ernie to read, so will see how that goes. He has seen our film footage as well as his own of course.
