It's my understanding that David Digerness who wrote the
Mineral Belt books on the DSP&P passed away last year. Many - if not the majority - of the photographs and illustrations in the books were credited to the "David Digerness Collection."
Does anyone know if his impressive collection was donated for cataloguing and preservation or was it scattered to the four winds? Sundance Publishing- the books' publisher - tells me he apparently had no heirs and since the books were long out of print they knew nothing about the collection. My hope is that the photos went to the Denver Public Library or the CRRM or some such. He had some images that I've seen nowhere else and I hate to see them get lost.
