Jim:
Well I only saw the line for about six months in 1959 while I was attending the Air Force photography school at Lowry and I only saw the one GE. I could kick myself for not taking photos of it.
I saw somewhere the runway at Lowry was closed in 65. The runway was still in use when I was there in 59 and I even saw a T-33 make a crash landing one day (gear would not come down). I was surprised that they did not redirect it to Buckley but it may have been low on fuel.
There is not a trace of it on Buckley or Fitzmonds as far as I know.
