Hi Rich et al -

According to local folklore, although Roger was raised in Jerome, he was actually born -
or at least found - in a hogan on the Tuzigoot Reservation in nearby Nohitsnorunsno, Ariz.
His left leg is about 3" shorter than the right due to the exercise he got trudging to school
each day, going counterclockwise up the steep hill to the schoolhouse.  The trip home at
the end of the day was a lot less streuous - in fact he often slid down the mountainside on
a sheet of plywood or cardboard - so his left leg never got the same workout as the right.
This probably also explains his libertarian, or leftward, tilt - and the soft spot in his heart
for foxes, hawks and other fascinating critturs of northern New Mexico.
