A significant piece of tourist railroad history on display at Chama. D&RGW boxcar 3339 was the first boxcar converted into a rider box by C&TS in May 1971, becoming No. 200. If this hadn't worked out, who knows what would have happened? Thanks to the Friends, it's come full circle and is back to being a boxcar again. How many times did the real 483 haul tourists in 3339 over Cumbres Pass?
