I thought that was funny as well Hank. I have a friend you used to live in Durango and found he has much distain for the railroad. I keep reminding him that had it not been for the railroad, Durango would be just another group of trees going to the mountains.
I would guess that comment came from one of those folks. Not able to see the benifit to their community in both jobs...but also $$$.
Like said above, if the C&TS were able to get those ridership numbers, Roger would probably be building a new hotel to hold all of the cash he was making
