It is unfortunate that once something has been retired, the value of nostalgia or fascination isn't enough to financially secure a future. Every steam tourist railroad has it's share of problems, whether public or not. The way society grows today, it takes serious effort to even draw the attention of people who might possibly take enough interest to share in the burden of preservation.
