Hogger, the Carlton Mill was located on the downhill side of Hwy. 67 (the old F&CC grade) between Cripple Creek and victor. If you look to the left of the "E" in Elkton in the aerial photo, you can just make out the Mill building or at least the site where it was. If you follow the CC&V (ex-MTRy) grade out of Cripple Creek to Anaconda, and then on to Elkton, you'll see that the MT grade probably is covered by the tailings, but the tailings pile hadn't gotten down to the highway at the time this photo was taken.-- Ed
