Where those stored cars set out on the main track of the Monarch Branch?
Also, Frank Fitzsimmons and L.R. Allen, a couple of senior engineers on the narrow gauge in Salida, haven't been on the road in a while.
Another narrow gauge tidbit: 10 men were promoted to engineer on 10-03-1942. B.S. Mitchell, L.M. Gregg, Roy M. Wright and Zed Scott were approved for road service as well as helper service on the Monarch Branch. W.R. Thompson, J.G. Brokaw, E.D. Stephensen. H.A. Cole, H.A. Uhland and R.F. Johnstone were not approved for road service or the Monarch Branch.
