Russ, no railfan could possibly forget Ted Rose.

On my coffee table, Ted's photo book In the Traces shares equal space with Sam Furukawa's Cumbres and Toltec, a photographic tribute.

I claim absolutely no expertise as an art critic, but in my eyes as a beholder, I simply took a liking to the Maryland/Pennsylvania flavor of artist Charles Amos's paintings. No intent to discount Ted Rose's great artworks including the watercolor of steam action on the Rockville Viadact.
