Well said, John -
Forty years ago, who'da thunk the railroad would still be here, and - all in all - doing quite well.
There are four locomotives in operating condition - with #463 undergoing restoration, the track
is in its best shape since the late twenties - possibly ever, there are some fairly comfortable
passenger cars, two very comfy parlor cars, and a "parlor" caboose for charters.
Things have come a LONG way in forty years, and we have a LOT to Celebrate this coming August:
... And we still have a lot of work ahead!
