I've been taking pictures of the Silverton line for 50 years, but never tried this spot before. When I first visited in 1960 the spot didn't exist because the highway then followed what is now county road 250 and crossed the railroad at grade farther up the line. Today, I said what the heck, let's do something "new". The afternoon departure helped provide the right lighting, and the snow did the rest.
