Wow, you learn something new everyday. Since I am primarily a steam fan I never really paid any attention to that line west of Alamosa. Back in 1994 on our way home from a month-long shoot we drove from Durango eastward and caught up to a train that had a caboose. We didn't bother to shoot it cause we were in a hurry to get home. It may have been a Rio Grande Caboose, as I think the power was Rio Grande as well. Had a pretty good sized train too. I guess I never realized there was another outfit at the end of that line!!
Someday I will have to do something with my dads SLVS footage.
