As most of you already know, Sam Furukawa and the Directors of the
Narrow Gauge Preservation Foundation has offer the South Park Rail Society a matching grant that would fund the tools and materials needed to support the operation of a steam locomotive in Como. I am very pleased to say that many people have stepped forward to help support this project with some doing so more than once.
I am also pleased to report that we are almost at our goal. Only
$390 is all that is needed to fulfil the requirements of the match. If you would like to help Como reach this important milestone, please consider a donation through our
Fund Raising Page or mailing a donation directly to:
South Park Rail Society
2253 N. Downing St.
Denver, CO 80205
Now, the Narrow Gauge Preservation Foundation has been very clear that these matching funds can NOT come from another foundation or granting scores. It MUST come from private donations. So they have asked us to provide them with only the names of the donors to confirm that there
is support for the project among the railfan community. So if you have made a donation using a nickname or as “anonymous”, I would ask that you please email us at
southparkrail@outlook.com with your real name (except for you Russ; we all know who you are
).
We are also planning to add these names to a “Thank You” banner that will be hanging on the Como Roundhouse this summer that will show everyone that has supported the Como Project. If you wish to remain anonymous or do not wish to have your name displayed with the other project supporters that is totally fine. Just please email your request to us and we will just stay Thank You for the support.

Thank You everyone for your support and we hope to see in in Como this summer!
