The diner disappeared around 1980. I went there to eat once in the late 1970's. I sat there for 15 minutes without any service, so I left and never came back. The Chief Diner, The Red Barn Barbeque, T-Bone Steak House, are all long-gone symbols of old Durango. The sign is now in front of an art gallery.
