When three engines together made a "Cumbres Turn," did they run back down to Chama coupled together or each one by itself? I ask, because I never had the chance to watch a 3 engine train Eastbound. Only able to watch a 2 engine train, one on the head end and other ahead of the caboose. At Cumbres, the rear loco was cut off and placed on the head end, while the original head end loco ran lite to Alamosa.
