Tim Coughlin should be next out as engineer on 115 out of Alamosa unless he is still laid up from his leg injury. If not it will go to the board. Dan Holly (pictured in Jimmy's post on Jan. 19) was back in town so he might get called. A.S. Johnson was also in Alamosa as was R.E. Hurley. I would have to go back over the posts to see where Henry Nisson and Frank Owenby were (There were a lot of hogheads named Frank on the narrow gauge.) Was the extra board a chain gang (rotation) board?
Without looking at the train sheet my guess is that Tim Coughlin stayed home and Henry Nisson (Nissen?) took the train out.
On the Durango side my guess is the A. Katschthaler decided to go back to work on the passenger, pushing Jack Dieckman back to freight. Of the four regular San Juan engineers Mr. Katschthaler appeared to lay off the most. Shouldn't he retire pretty soon?
