I would love to do a book, but the reality is I do not have all the required skill sets to do it by myself. If somebody wanted to work with me, perhaps. But the reality is that the work that goes into a book is rarely rewarded by sufficient sales to make it worth while. A bunch of my pix went in to Gildersleeve and Huxtable's nice little (and cheap) "Narrow Gauge....then and now", along with a bunch of great pix by others, and both Nils and Tom claim to have a garage full of unsold copies. Perhaps a better approach is the so-called "on demand" publishing, but it still takes a bunch of work and would it sell enough copies to make the effort worth it.
Personally I find the internet a great medium, that is easy to use and reaches a bigger audience than a book would. And it can be continuously updated as I discover new stuff in the dusty old boxes, and improve my Photoshop skills.
But thanks for the nice thought.
