Nice photo. Reminds me of the 5-engine line-up we did in October 1992 during the John Craft charters in Chama. We had in order....484,487,488,489,& 497. Only 484,487, and 497 were used on the charters, but the other engines had been used recently at the end of the season and were in steam. After that all the engines(which were facing west), headed to the wye for turning one at a time, then coupled together to make a run back from the west end of track to the Chama yard, each blowing their whistles for the grade crossing one after the other. It was interesting to note the differences in each engine's whistle.

PS I remember then GM Joe Vigil telling me "you guys are really lucky with the weather, cause we shut down this time of year for a reason". John ran two weekends of trips after the regular C&TS season ended. I think the tuesday after the last trip a big snowfall hit the area.
