Last Saturday night a few privileged guests were part of Jason Van Horn's dinner train on the former D&RGW parlor car "Durango" as a special train on the Ghost Town & Calico RR.
The night was made even more Colorado like due to the cold and rain but it was a night to remember as we rode around the park and soaked in the ambiance of what it was like to ride in the legendary car.
Dinner was the famous Knott's Berry Farm "Chicken Dinner" and I can attest to its excellence and large portions. Dinner was finished off with what else, Knott's famous Bosenberry pie, yum yum!
For those who missed it, if this is ever offered again you should make it, it is an experience.
Thanks to Jason Van Horn, Tim Davey, Engineer Jeff Taylor who did not spill a drop, Fireman Ashley, Tom Unfried and our server who did an excellent job and the kitchen crew for an excellent meal.
