Ridgway museum 2016 event schedule

We have set dates for our principal 2016 events:

1) Work week. Our regular week-long work session in June has been cancelled for this year only, it will return next year for sure. This is due to the train shed construction project that will be going on at that time, we'll be up tour neck in alligators during May, June and July dealing with excavation for the foundation, pouring concrete, getting set for the actual erection of the structure, and controlling access to the work area during normal museum visitation hours. HOWEVER, we will continue with our weekly work sessions on Tuesday mornings, so if you are in the area and want to pitch in, please feel free to come help.

2) Ouray County Railroad Days - set for September 15 - 18th, our usual schedule of guided hikes, car trips, model tour and talks. We plan to demonstrate Inspection Car 1, and have the 252 ready for an initial viewing in all its rough, pre-restoration glory.

Our regular season is May 1 - November 1, seven days a week, no admission.
