Russ:
I had a Pentax Spotmatic for a while and shot a number of good photos with it, but it was not as durable as the Nikon Fs or Canon F1s. I was an Air Force photographer and the Air Force only used Nikon Fs after testing all the 35mm cameras. The Army did the same thing and chose the Canon F1. The Denver Post photographers were using Nikon Fs and tried Olympus and Pentax cameras for a year and went back to Nikon. Pentax, Olympus and some of the others had good lenses, but the camera bodies just could not take the abuse that pro photographers give them.
