J.E. Bledsoe had a seniority date of 9-14-1914 as a fireman. Roy Buchannan held the same date, but was two slots behind Bledsoe. Bledsoe was promoted to engineer on 10-19-1918.
IIRC the 476 break-in run was the first time I saw on the narrow gauge posts. He must have been firing or running standard gauge trains out of Alamosa.
