Here's another photo taken in 1942 by the same railfan as the previous shot. The same car is visible in the lower portion of the photo. These photos were probably the last taken of the track in place as it would be gone by the end of 1943. Photo courtesy of Ron Grau.He and I hiked up to the spot for this photo as well as a second photo taken here that I'll share later. Notice the nice rock work along the ROW to protect it from the frequent flash floods in this area. The "Now" photo taken on Sept. 14, 2014. The highway has been moved to the opposite side of the canyon and closely follows the right of way. All of the neat rock work is now gone...
