Now it looks like J. A. Peterson gets to take up temporary residence in Chama but all those Lumberton and Pagosa helper turns. On the Salida side R. F. Hockett had a fireman's date of 02-10-1917 and was No. 11 on the 7-1-1943 fireman's roster.
It looks like the Salida people moved up the seniority ladder quicker than the Alamosa people. Maybe that the standard gauge main line also passed through Salida may have something to do with it as crewmen transferred back and forth between the narrow gauge and standard gauge boards.
It looked like both the standard gauge and narrow gauge engineers at Alamosa were on the same seniority board: same with the conductors. The Alamosa Division had 19 engineers with firmen's dates before 1-1-1908. The Salida board had none, the Gunnison-Montrose board had two.
