Today we spiked down 150 feet and put another 150 feet of rail and ties. We were slowed down by the need to grade the roadbed by throwing in dirt from the side.
We also ran our steam engine #10 out onto the trestle, after putting in lots of blocking. The volunteers posed for pictures.
All-told we laid a solid quarter mile of track in four days. 42 volunteers showed up over the course of the weekend - a very respectable showing.
