But it can move one car up a 37% grade. One minor problem, no reverse. On Mount Washington it is not an issue, gravity does a very effective job for that function. I have ridden the Mount Washington Cog 3 times so far. I can tell you that you feel every tooth of that rack going up the mountain and by the time you get to the top you are thoroughly homogenized.
