Nevin Byers tells me No. 15's whistle is a Nathan, and No. 17's is a Crosby.

David Brightbill says that years ago No. 17 carried No. 18's whistle for a bit. The railroad has the 18's whistle stored safely. He also recalls that No. 14 at one point carried a PRR passenger whistle that belonged to Harvey Kannagy, an employee of (I think I've got this right) the Kishacoquillas Valley Railroad.

And while time and EBT operating practices have enshrined many of Mr. Wilburn's likes and dislikes, along with those of C.D. Jones and other EBT bosses back into the dim mists of history, this weekend we're going to favor the preferences of the living and the breathing, since they're the folks running the trains.
