I have the Hungerford Collection and there are a number of slides of the 12 in there. The dates stamped on the slides are Jan 62 and I believe that he was there with a group.
Am very curious if anybody knows when her sisters were scrapped? There were at least two mechanically identical sisters on the property along with another similar 2-6-2 built years earlier...they were numbered 9-12.
Copyright date of HAWAIIAN RAILROADS was 1963. John also published a few other small books, one of SP Cab-Forwards.
