There are many narrow gauge enthusiasts who had been frustrated in their passion for authenticity as they try to model in HO, O, G, etc. Their solution has been to model in Live Steam at 2.5in to 1 ft. That allows use of existing 7.5 in tracks for models of 3 foot NG. There are some amazingly accurate modelers at work here. The only detail they cannot replicate in scale are the engineers, but I'll bet Tom Miller is working on that too. The #278 consolidation is the work of Peter Moseley.
