Well I have received all the film to video transfers of the NG and SG material from a recent acquisition, and I feel there is enough Rio Grande Southern to do one on it alone.
I admit to knowing very little on this railroad, and need some help identifying trips, locations, and any other pertinent information. As with most of our silent films, we use music and narration, and I try to include a lot of useful history along with the scenes when possible.
So, anyone who knows a couple of good sources on RGS trackage and history, please let me know. They need to be someone who knows the route backwards and forwards, and is willing to work with me for a couple of comp videos and credit, and the knowledge that we are going to make these available in the future so that others might see them.
Suggestions and emails(or Private Messages), or posts on this thread are welcome.
The first segment I am working on is a fan trip that I believe started in Durango with #20, and later is swapped for 455. I am not 100% on the year...1947-49 perhaps, or 1951. One "Tell" is the rider gon used has the looping handles on top, but are not painted silver like I have seen in more modern excursions.
