Thanks for the information. At least you tried ABEX.
Some time back in the 1970s I recall Trains Magazine carrying a letter from ABEX. ABEX was asking to hear from all owner/operators of steam engines. The reqyest was for the pattern numbers on their brake shoes so that these could be retained.
Of course, if the present brake shoes were not made by ABEX the number on them might not be an ABEX number. It could be that of a private foundary. Or a former loco owner could have assigned their own number to the pattern for the replacement shoes.
