Ron,
I don't recall ever seeing one in the Chama roundhouse. As the crews who were here were from Durango and Alamosa, they usually went home when they got rested. The locomotive Dispatch book I have access to seems to have been made out a couple days in advance of the actual day (perhaps from instructions from Alamosa) as occasionally things go bad and a couple entries get scribbled out and a new line up appears. I hear the engine watchman did the calling here. Between Fosters, the Shamrock and old outfit car bodies set on the ground for the engine crews to bunk in, they weren't hard to find. Most everyone wanted to get the hell out of Chama ASAP. Train crews usually laid over in thier caboose.
The Train Bulletin board is the real thing. It was modified after Jan 31, 1951 to show the train running only between Chama and Dulce.
