A.M. Sidenstriker was one of the ``younger'' guys entering service on 07-02-1916, eight years behind W.L. Wilson. (Source: seniority List of Firemen, Sub-Divisions 13, 13-A, 13-B, 13-C and 15 Alamosa Division, July 1st, 1943).
Durango conductor W. L. Bruce started railroading as a brakeman on 09-29-1909 and was promoted to conductor on 07-20-1918. On the 1945 he was No. 15. Noted Rio Grande conductor Alva Lyons was No. 18. Bruce was the conductor when engine 473, with John Dieckman at the throttle, went into the Animas River. A sun kink was the cause. (John Norwood).
