Well based upon the fact that this was lifted from a 1966 report, any train that was not a scheduled train is referred to as a "Extra". Being 1966 there was not much of anything that was scheduled as a regular.
That brings up a good question, When was the last regular scheduled freight train on the D&RGW Narrow Gauge?
