Armed citizens are good, but the terrorist knew that a stray bullet could cause explosive decompression, and used knives...would your average traveller?
The story seems to be that the forth plane crashed short because the passengers attempted to wrest the plane away from the terrorists. If so, the ALL deserve medals. As does every single firefighter and emergency service person killed when the towers collapsed.
