Great photos,one winter when laid off for 3 months I was Lucky enough to be hired by BLUE LAKE BUIDERS out of Taos NM that handled building the new tank .What a great experience that was, albeit the middle of winter.Getting the chance to build a new D&RGW tank is something Ill never forget.One person in particular that was invaluable to the project was Shirley Russom.Shirley single handedly painted every board of the Chama tank before it got put together.Shirley was one of the unsung heroes of the C&TS as she single handedly ran the crew that cleaned that train at night for as I remember over 25 years!Does any one know what ever happened to Shirley or how she is doing or if she is still even alive?
