The Answer:
Moldy.

Definitely not good.
No-one has been able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any D&RGW K-36 or K-37 locomotives except #489 in 1950 and #499 in 1947 or '48 ever had a green boiler jacket. There is some evidence that the K-37's
MAY have been delivered with green jackets, but this evidence is scanty, and insufficient to convince an impartial jury of reasonable men and women.
"Everything in moderation" applies to locomotive jackets just as much as to anything else.
Even 'Arrogant Bastard' Ale.
But not garlic.
There is a sign in my kitchen that says,
